This weeks WW2 menu – think warm, fun and frugal

Is it me or has it gotten decidedly cold lately. Everything is chilly and slightly damp…. the washing, the kids, our coats EVERYTHING! Still, the upside to bad weather (winter) is the warming food and snuggling down in the evenings with the family.

Aldi’s super 6 (6 items fruit/ veg on sale each week) seem to be going down a storm. I suppose its when it gets colder that people start panicking they wont get the fruit or vitamins over the winter months (we know better don’t we). Pity none of the fruit is from the UK. I think we’ll have to be content with fresh, seasonal, vitamin rich local vegetables instead. Oh darn #SarcasmIsMySecondLanguage
